About Me
Kaila Martin is a registered associate marriage and family therapist who has earned her master of science in counseling degree with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from California State University, Northridge, and her bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a specialization in women, gender, and sexuality studies from California State University, Long Beach. She has clinical experience with a wide variety of clients with differing lived experiences, ages, backgrounds, and rationale for seeking out mental health services.

Kaila is in the licensure process by accruing her hours and her experience as an associate marriage and family therapist. Kail has previous experience working in community mental health, which has consisted of providing individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and leading substance use groups, along with women's domestic violence groups. Currently, Kaila works at Coastline Therapy Group in Santa Barbara, where she is providing trauma-informed therapy to adolescents and adults who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and trauma.

Kaila joined the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) in 2023 and has been an active member since.

When in the therapy room, Kaila provides collaborative therapy through the primary modality of narrative therapy while employing other evidence-based modalities and interventions to provide personalized and quality care to each of her clients based on their needs and goals.

Kaila's primary modalities include: narrative therapy, coherence therapy, internal family systems therapy (IFS), solution focused therapy (SFT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and somatic therapy. To provide quality therapy while using a trauma-informed lens, Kaila tailors the therapy experience to your needs, past experiences, and collaborative areas of growth.​

Outside of the therapy room, Kaila loves riding her bike, reading, spending time at the beach, and traveling.
